Throughout six month of the year 2011 Klaipėda Port han dled 18,4 million tons of sea born cargo, the overall cargo han dling increase reached even 22,6 % if to compare with the corresponding period of the previous year. According to cargo han dling turnover in Easter Coast Baltic Ports in the period of Jan uary – June of 2011 Klaipeda Port has still remained ahead the neighbouring Ports of Riga an d Ventspils but slightly left behind the Joint Port of Tallinn.
The common cargo han dling results of Klaipeda Port an d Būtingė Terminal made 22,6 million tons in Jan uary – June of 2011 an d exceeded the han dling turnover of the Joint Port of Tallinn by 3,48 million tons, reported BC the press service of Klaipeda Port.
