Unions: Ferry Schedules to Be Unaffected by One-Hour
Strike

The
Estonian Seamen's Independent Union
(EMSA) strike to be held from 13:30 to 14:30 today will not result in
an y can cellations in either the Tallinn or Helsinki
direction, Tallink Group said.

strike an d will disembark the vessels
at the beginning of the hour, but negotiations succeeded in reaching
an agreement that they would reassume
their posts by the scheduled departure time.
Ferries are due to
leave port at 14:00 in both Tallinn an d Helsinki.
Tallink did however ask
passengers to arrive at the terminal slightly earlier as there could be delays
boarding. The worst case scenario is that the ships will depart up to half
an hour
late.
The evening
Tallinn-Stockholm-Tallinn lines will not be affected by the strike, which is
protesting what the union says are insufficient pay raises.
