2015 - ЧЁРНЫЙ ГОД в портах Европы в обеспечении безопасности.

Если каждый несчастный случай на работе это слишком много, то каждая смерть на рабочем месте просто недопустимо, но 2015 является особенно чёрным годом по обеспечения безопасности в портах.

В 2015 году европейские докеры и портовики, их семей и их профсоюзы оплакивали коллег, родственников и товарищей, которые потеряли свои жизни во время работы в портах Antwerp, Bilbao, Bremerhaven, Tallinn, Helsinki, Oxelösund, Sines, Valencia – это только те случаи, о которых было заявлено публично.

 

"Хотя эти несчастные случаи произошли в разных обстоятельствах и в соответствии с различной ситуацией, мы испытываем растущее давление на докеров, от которых требуют быть более и более продуктивными. Давление на время работы (давай быстрей) играет существенную роль в обеспечении безопасности, потому что создаётся тенденция пренебрежения процедурами, которые позволят предотвратить определенное количество несчастных случаев ", сказал Председатель Секции Докеров ETF Terje Samuelsen.

 

"Расследование продолжается в большинстве из этих несчастных случаев и нам придется ждать окончательных результатов, и потом сделать оценку причин и принять меры, чтобы избежать повторения подобных несчастных случае в будущем. Тем не менее, мы считаем, что аварийная ситуация с системой безопасности, должна быть разрешена. Кроме выражения наших глубочайших соболезнований семьям от нас ожидают совместных действий вместе с работодателями, портовыми властями и всеми заинтересованными лицами», заключил он.

Cargo handling in the Eastern Coast Baltic


Cargo handling in the Eastern Coast Baltic Seaports in January-November decreased by 0.6%

In January-November 2015, the overall cargo handling in the Baltic Eastern Coast Seaports totalled 337 245,4 thou. tn; the year-on-year change is -0.6% or -2 039,2 thou. tn, reports BC Klaipeda port’s press service.

 

Altogether 337,25 mln tn (-0,6% or –2 039,2 thou. tn yoy) of cargo were handled in the region of the Eastern coast Baltic seaports.

 

The most dramatic drop of cargo throughput was recorded in the Seaports of Saint Petersburg (-16,7% or –9 426, 1 thou. tn yoy ) and the Joint Port of Tallinn (-19,7% or –5 093,0 thou. tn yoy).

UST-LUGA PORT is the priority project related with cargo handling capacity development of Russian ports in the Baltic Sea region. In January – November of 2015 the cargo handling throughput in the Port increased as many as by 10,91 mln tn or by 16,7% to  80,45 mln tn comparing with January – November of 2014.

 

Oil products, crude oil and coal constitute even 90% of overall Seaport cargo handling turnover:

 

- 27,7 mln tn of oil products were handled, +18,8% or + 4,4 mln tn yoy;

- 27,9 mln  tn of crude oil were handled, +14,5% or + 3,2 mln tn yoy;

- 19,8 mln tn of coal were handled, +11,5% or +2,0 mln tn yoy.

 

Other categories of cargo that made the impact on the overall cargo handling turnover in the Seaport were as follows:

 

- Ro-Ro cargoes – 1 908,4 thou. tn were handled, +17,3% or +282,1 thou. tn yoy;

- fertilizers – 1 518,9 thou. tn were handled, more by 2 times or by 1 096,5 thou. tn yoy;

- liquid natural gas – 1 292,2 thou. tn were handled, +25,2% or +259,9 thou. tn yoy;

- metal – 473,6 thou. tn were handled, more by 3 times or by 351,7 thou. tn yoy.

 

Other categories of cargo with decreased handling rates were as follows:

 

- containerised cargoes – 748,9 thou. tn were handled, –8,3% or –67,8 thou. tn yoy;

 

 

 

Altogether 54,26 mln tn of products, i.e. more by 7,9% or by 3,95 mln tn comparing with the previous year were handled in PRIMORSK PORT in January – November of 2015.

 

Primorsk Port is the centre of Russian crude oil and oil products export:

 

- 41,04 mln tn of crude oil were handled, +2,5 % or +994,0 thou. tn yoy;

- 13,22 mln tn oil products were handled, +28,8% or +2 958,4 thou. tn yoy. 

 

 

 

In January – November of 2015 the SEAPORT of SAINT – PETERSBURG handled 47,08 mln tn  of cargo, i.e., less  by 16,7% or by 9,43 mln tn than within the corresponding period of 2014.

 

Basic categories of cargo that made the most significant impact on cargo handling results in January – November of 2015 were as follows: 

 

- containerised cargoes – 18,14 mln tn were handled, –17,5% or –3,8 mln tn yoy;

- oil products – 8,78 mln tn were handled, –33,4% or –4,4 mln tn yoy;

- fertilizers – 7,21 mln tn were handled, +3,0% or +213,1 thou. tn yoy;

- metal – 5,67 mln tn were handled, +7,5% or +397,1 thou. tn yoy;

- scrap metal –1,81 mln tn were handled, –13,2% or –275,4 thou. tn yoy.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Within the period of January – November of 2015 Klaipeda Seaport cargo handling turnover increased by 5,1% to  35,14 mln tn, i.e.  more by 1,72 mln tn comparing with the corresponding period of 2014.

 

According to the increase of cargo handling turnover expressed in percent (5,1%) and to the increase of cargo handling turnover calculated in tons (1 715,9 thou. tn) the Seaport of Klaipeda occupies the  3-d standing in the rankings of the Eastern coast Baltic seaports lagging behind  the seaports of Ust Luga and Primorsk.

 

Year-on-year changes of overall turnover  in January – November of 2015 according to cargo types:

 

- Liquid cargo – 8 366,2  thou tn were handled, +34,5% or +2 147,6 thou. tn yoy;

- General cargo – 9 351,3 thou. tn were handled, –2,4% or –228,5 thou. tn yoy;

- Dry and bulk cargo – 14 580,4 thou. tn were handled, +1,9% or +269,0 thou. tn yoy

6 523 vessels were reported to call Klaipeda Seaport in January – November of 2015, i.e. more by 0,6% or by 36 vessels comparing with the corresponding period of 2014. 

 

 

 

 

In January – November of 2015 the significant drop of cargo handling turnover by 2,1% was recorded in the FREEPORT OF RIGA – altogether  36,49 mln tn or less by 770,0 thou. tn comparing with the corresponding period of 2014 were handled in the Port. 

 

Such a dramatic decrease of cargo handling results was mostly influenced by the dynamics of basic cargo categories:

 

- the most abundant cargo of the Seaport is coal. 13,08 mln tn were handled (-2,9% or –396,0 thou. tn yoy);

- oil products – 9,65 mln tn were handled (+4,8% or +444,1 thou. tn yoy);

- fertilizers – 2,35 mln tn were handled (+4,1% or +92,2 thou. tn yoy).

 

Cargo handlings decreased in two categories:

 

- containerised cargoes – 3,50 mln tn were handled (-8,1% or –306,9 thou. tn yoy);

- timber – 2,55 mln tn were handled (-5,0% or –227,6 thou. tn yoy).

 

Passenger traffic. The Freeport of Riga received 491 214  passengers in January – November of 2015, i.e., less by 29,7% or by 207 216 passengers comparing with January – November of 2014. 

 

 

 

 

In January – November of 2015 the cargo handling turnover in the SEAPORT OF VENTSPILS comparing with the corresponding period of 2014 dropped down to 21,12 mln tn , i.e., less by 13,4% or by 3,26 mln tn .

 

Basic cargo categories that made the greatest impact on cargo handling results in January – November of 2015 were as follows:

 

- oil products – 13 109,0 thou. tn were handled, –6,6% or –932,0 thou. tn yoy;

- coal – 4 240,0 thou. tn were handled, –22,0% or –1 199,0 thou. tn yoy;

- Ro-Ro cargoes – 1 665,0 thou. tn were handled, –4,7% or –82,0 thou. tn yoy;

- fertilizers – 142,0 thou. tn were handled, –90,3% or –1 320,0 thou. tn yoy.

 

Passenger traffic. Within the analysed period 97 244 passenger called the port of Ventspils, i.e., more by 26,2% or by 20 199 passenger comparing with January – November of 2014.

 

Vessels. In total the Seaport accommodated 1 244 vessels within the analysed period, the yoy change was –12,0%, or –169 vessels.

 

 

 

 

The overall throughput in the JOINT PORT of TALLINN in January – November of 2015 was 20,78 mln tn, i.e., –19,7% or – 5 093,0 thou. tn comparing with the corresponding period in 2014.

 

Basic cargo categories that made the greatest impact on cargo handling results in January – November of 2015 were as follows:

 

- oil products – 11 885,1 thou. tn were handled, –30,8% or –5 280,0 thou. tn yoy;

- Ro-Ro cargoes – 4 008,1 thou. tn were handled, +7,7% or +286,9 thou. tn yoy;

- containerised cargoes – 1 594,9 thou. tn were handled, –12,9% or –236,9 thou. tn yoy;

- fertilizers – 1 492,8 thou. tn were handled, +3,3% or +48,3 thou tn.

 

Passenger traffic. In January –November of 2015 the Joint Port of Tallinn rendered services to 9 024,2 thou. passengers, i.e. more by  1,9% or by 172,6 thou. passengers comparing with the corresponding period of 2014.

 

Vessels.  6 531 vessels were reported to call the Port of Tallinn, i.e. more by 3,1% or by 195 vessels comparing with January – November of 2014.

 

 

 

 

15,96 mln tn of cargo, i.e. less  by 1,4% or by 221,7 thou tn were handled in VYSOTSK SEAPORT in January – November of 2015 comparing with the corresponding period of 2014.

 

Only two categories of cargo are handled in this Seaport:

 

- oil products – 10,92 mln tn were handled, –3,5% or –392,2 thou tn yoy;

- coal – 5,04 mln tn  were handled, +3,5% or +170,5 thou tn yoy.

 

 

 

 

The total throughput in the PORT OF KALININGRAD was 11,59  mln tn,  i.e., less by 8,9% or by 1 135,1 thou.. tn than in January – November of 2014.

 

Basic cargo categories that made the greatest impact on cargo handling results in January – November  of  2015 were as follows:

 

- Ro-Ro cargoes – 1 935,5 thou. tn were handled, +18,2% or +298,3 thou. tn yoy;

- oil products – 1 534,0 thou. tn were handled, –23,0% or –457,8 thou. tn yoy;

- metal – 997,8 thou. tn were handled, +3,4% or +32,5 thou. tn yoy;

- containerised cargoes – 850,9 thou. tn were handled, –28,9% or –345,7 thou. tn yoy.

 

 

 

 

The total throughput in the PORT of LIEPAJA in January – November of 2015 was 5,09 mln tn, more by 3,7% or by 182,7 thou. tn comparing the corresponding period  of 2014.

 

Basic cargo categories making the greatest impact on cargo handling results in January – November of 2015 were as follows:

 

- grain – 2 564,1 thou. tn were handled ( the throughput of grain handling accounts  as many as for 50% of the overall cargo handling), +1,0% or +26,1 thou. tn yoy;

- Ro – Ro cargoes – 576,8 thou. tn were handled, 21,1% or –154,0 thou. tn yoy;

- Timber – 557,8 thou. tn were handled, +15,0% or by +72,7 thou. tn yoy.

 

Passenger traffic. The number of passengers calling the Port of Liepaja was 37 192 passengers, i.e., less by 6,1% or by 2 411 passengers comparing with January – November of 2014.

 

Vessels. In January – November of the current year 1 213 vessels called the Seaport, i.e., less by 4,7% or by 60 vessels comparing with the corresponding period of the previous year.
